Family Reconciliation Counseling

Under the best of circumstances family life can be complex. It can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in life and, just as surely, it can provide challenges that leave well-meaning adults gasping for air. Family reconciliation counseling is designed to help aging adult parents and their adult children (perhaps also grandchildren) identify, acknowledge and productively talk about the complex issues and events that created wounding and hurt between and among all family members.

In most cases this is not easy work. The hurts have existed for a long time…but time may be growing short. If healing is ever to occur, investing in these important relationships while communication, understanding, compassion and forgiveness are possible is a loving and responsible act of love.

Because families can live all across the country…or around the world, family reconciliation counseling is often a combination of face-to-face meetings (when possible) combined with phone sessions supported by written dialogue via email or text.
